5. Robert DE WILBERFOSS. Living 1284: Kirkby's Inquest. Robert had Gilbert, who according to the Visitation of 1584 had issue Peter, Roger, Hugo and William. Other pedigrees give to Gilbert a son Lawrence de Wilberfoss who may in fact have been his brother. Lawrence is described as having married Alice and had issue John de Wilberfoss (living 1284, Kirkby's Inquest; a statement which if true would make him contemporary with his great-grandfather. This leads to suppose that Lawrence was indeed brother or nephew of Gilbert). - L G Pine
